It is very fast on swipes, drawing, and writing. It does need to be pressed slightly down when button pressing. About the same pressure as your finger but with your finger you don't notice you are pressing since your finger has little give and the tip of the stylus does have some give (soft tip). It is short but I like it that way. The pen is good too. I highly recommend this stylus to anyone with a capacitive touch screen device.
